J&JFinancial Solutions and Technology (FST) is recruiting for a Sr. FinanceManager, EPM Operating Expense Global Process Design Lead to lead thedevelopment of the global Operating Expense process design for the futureEnterprise Performance Management planning tool. If you have the talent anddesire to touch the world, Johnson & Johnson has the career opportunitiesto help make it happen.The Sr. Finance Manager, EPM OperatingExpense Global Process Design Lead will lead the development of the OperatingExpense modules of the future-state planning solution. This individual will be a critical member ofthe Global EPM Planning Process Design leadership team. The individual will be responsible for thesimplification and standardization of planning processes, via enabling EPMtechnology enhancements, that will drive efficiencies across planning cycles. A few examples of critical deliverables includerolling forecast implementation, integrated and connected planning, integrationof statistical modeling, simplification of management reviews and optimizationof the financial planning calendar. The individual needs to approachsituations and initiatives with an Enterprise mindset. Extensive knowledge offinancial forecasting processes is required as the projects being led by thisrole and new initiatives proposed, will impact all finance employees globallywho are engaged in financial planning and analysis. This role collaborates with a globalnetwork of finance professionals to design, deploy, and manage global FP&Aprocesses. This individual helps drive business technology alignment,consistent process deployment and adoption, rigorous process documentation, KPImeasurement, and performance management in areas including budgeting andforecasting, financial planning, working capital management, strategic insight,and decision support.This rolewill lead a cross-functional team comprised of various finance associatesacross all levels (e.g. Directors, Managers, Analysts) and across all regionsto develop the global standard requirements for the Operating Expense modulesfor the future state enterprise planning tool.Key Responsibilities:EPM Program Responsibilities

  • Execute program deliverables in alignment withIntegrated Planning project plan for the Operating Expense workstream
  • Active participation in EPM program governance(e.g. status updates, resource planning, integrated plan)
  • Work closely with internal, cross-functionalstakeholders to drive continuous improvement and corrective actions ininstances of process breakdowns.
  • Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) andgovernance processes are in place to drive adherence to global standards.Planning Detailed Design Responsibilities
    • Executionof Planning scope across Operating Expense workstreams as outlined in the EPMConceptual Design Document and EPM Scoping Framework.
    • Globally standard, driver-based model thatleverages existing regional models for Labor, Headcount, and Global / CorporateFunctions
    • Globally standard, sector-specific model forcommissions
    • Integration with Workday, external, finance, andnon-finance systems to obtain key drivers
    • Scenario modeling to assess potential changes toinputs and assumptions
    • Implementation of a rolling forecast approach tounderpin the planning process, creating a consistent repeatable process thatproactively identifies longer term events that may impact business performance
    • Participation in the creation of the future-statefinancial planning calendar with focus on minimizing management reviews todrive efficiencies in planning cycle time
    • Drive standardized, integrated and connectedplanning and reporting capabilities
    • Drive streamlined coordination across sectors,geographies, and functions
    • Implement use of predictive modeling to simplifythe efforts to develop and analyze a baseline forecast at the start of eachquarterly cycle
    • Simplification and standardization of planningprocesses, via enabling EPM technology enhancements, that will driveefficiencies across planning cycles
    • Utilization of strong governance to driveconsistency and improve control of the planning processes including adherenceto overall cycle times and timing of management reviewsRelationship Management and Collaboration
      • Active participation and alignment withfuture-state EPM tool Product Owner and technical team to ensure technicalbuilds meet process design specifications for Operating Expense build
      • Partner with change management, comms andtraining to ensure global process changes are adhered to and adopted by thebroader organization
      • Partner with reporting and analytics and humancentered design teams to ensure process enhancements are delivered inend-user-centric manner
      • Effectively partner across the EPM workstreams toensure consistency of design and approachOther Responsibilities
        • Supports ad hoc requests / projects
        • Supports continuous improvement activities
        • Leads training and communications sessions acrossbroader finance organization
        • Supports onboarding of new EPM team members
        • Ensure policies and procedures are followed
        • Develop,maintain, and deploy FP&A process documentation Qualifications
          • A minimum of a Bachelors or equivalent Degree isrequired, preferably in Finance or Accounting
          • Advanced degrees such as a CPA, CMA orMBA/Masters and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification ispreferred
          • A minimum of 8 years of finance, accounting orrelated business experience is required.Experience designing, developing, implementing, and managing FP&A processesthrough a global organization is required.
            • Fluent (both oraland written) in English.
            • Experience designing, developing, implementing,and managing FP&A processes through a global organization is required.
            • Change management skills and ability to work inambiguous situations, including the ability to drive others to adapt to achanging environment is required.
            • Advanced skills in MS Office is required.
            • Excellent oral and written communication,analytical, influencing skills and ability to develop strong relationships withexecutive leadership team members is required.
            • The ability to partner with, influence andeffectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including seniormanagement is required
            • Foundational project management skills arerequired.
            • Ability to work in ambiguous situations,proactively identifying and mitigating process risks within a cross-functional,global organization and effectively lead and govern decision-making bodies isrequired.
            • Experience designing, developing, implementing,and managing standardized operational finance processes within a globalorganization is preferred.
            • Innovative and continuous improvement mindsetwith the ability to translate a complex business operations landscape into astreamlined process design is preferred.
            • This rolecan be based in NA, EMEA, LATAM or ASPAC.
