Job Function: The Senior Financial Analyst will assist with the monthly financial close, annual budget preparation and perform financial analysis. Specific Responsibilities: Analyze financial reports and raw data to develop detailed business plans/budgets that accurately project financial impact of business decisions Assists with the monthly financial close, including recording of journal entries where required Assists with monthly budget variance analysis and presents findings to Operations Produces complex and multi layered analyses and is able to interpret findings to leadership Discreet handling of confidential information Other duties as assigned Job Qualifications: Bachelor s Degree in Finance or Accounting required. Master s degree preferred. Demonstrated proven ability to take on increasing responsibility in a fast pace environment Progressive experience working as part of a team and as an individual At least 3-5 years of experience working as a financial, budget or business analyst required Prior hospital finance industry experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, conditional statements, and v-lookups required Knowledge of Oracle/PeopleSoft general ledger preferred Prior knowledge of industry benchmarking data (MGMA, AMGA, etc.) and CMS physician coding/billing/wRVU guidelines is preferred Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm Hours are subject to change based on business needs Additional Information: RWJBarnabas Health is the most comprehensive health care delivery system in New Jersey, with a service area covering five million people.
