Administrative Secretary- Purchasing- Full Time

Job Description:

The Administrative Secretary will provide clerical and administrative support toour Purchasing Department, which includes a small group of Buyers and the Manager of the Department.The schedule for this position will be Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. This will include:

  • Answering a high volume of phone calls
  • Composing and typing correspondence, memos and reportsManaging the calendar for our Purchasing Department ManagerManaging/recording data- i.e. capital log, re-call bookReceiving and screening visitors to the departmentTaking minutes during meetingsManaging expenses, ordering supplies, special requests for equipment for the departmentMay assist with purchase ordersRequirements:
    High School diploma or equivalentPrevious Administrative Assistantexperience preferred Proficient and comfortable working with Microsoft OfficeStrong interpersonal skills required to deal effectively and courteously with a diverse group of internal callers, doctors, patients and visitors as well as external contacts
