Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated college student to work as a Marketing Specialist Intern during summer 2024. The Marketing Specialist Intern will learn various technical and marketing aspects of Ingredion's Food Systems and hydrocolloids portfolio by working cross functionality with the Food Systems and Hydrocolloids team to develop content such as intercompany tools, trend reports, and external marketing communications.Core Responsibilities:This internship is ideal for Food Science or Marketing majors who are interested in Ingredion as an employer upon graduation and would like to better understand our portfolio of hydrocolloids, starches, sweeteners, plant-based proteinsConnecting and collaborating with cross functional teams to develop portfolio related intercompany guidesTechnical storytelling and external content development for singular portfolio products to help position Ingredion as an indispensable partner for our customers and a thought leader in the industry, bringing our Be What's Next Ingredion brand positioning to lifeWorking with the Technical and Marketing teams to develop GTM tools to help support growth in strategic categoriesResearching and reporting out on food industry trends related to food categories related to Food Systems and HydrocolloidsDevelopment of intercompany communications around Food Systems and Consultative SellingPotential to work side by side with R&D on projects for hands-on hydrocolloids experienceQualified candidates will have: Have an interest in pursuing a food science/marketing/business development career
Sophomore or junior in a bachelor's degree program in Food Science or related field
Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
Ability to work 40 hrs. per week during the summer internship term
Are a team player and have an ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of people and work styles
Are self-motivated, results driven and a creative problem solver
Have superior skills in multitasking and completing deadlines on time
Excellent communication skills
Reliable transportation required to travel to and from facility
Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States

Be a currently enrolled student in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD Degree Program
If currently enrolled in an undergrad status, must have completed at least two years of course work with status as a sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior
