Job DescriptionSenior Electrical Engineers --- Analog Circuit Design (High Voltage)Location: Boston, MA. AreaSalary: Commensurate with experience + 10% Bonus

  • You will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and implementation of image-guided products.--
  • You will provide technical solutions to difficult--problems--and represent the company in finding solutions.
  • Ability to design and lead a project to completion including simulation strategies to ensure zero defect designs.
  • Ability to communicate design ideas and verification strategies to a cross-functional team.--
  • Develop and maintain supplier/vendor relationships as well as interface with all departments throughout the company.Position Summary:
    • Propose new ideas for technology advancement within the Electrical group.
    • Responsible for sub-system development within a large capital project.
    • Develop requirements and specifications for sub-system components.
    • Facilitate makes versus buy recommendations.
    • Design and develop electro-mechanical products based on requirements
    • Implement, maintain, and execute the project plans for new technology programs
    • Maintain and complete appropriate documentation for new technology programs
    • Ensure appropriate documentation is transferred to product line specific areas during the commercialization phase
    • Plan, design, review, and oversee the testing of devices according to international electrical emission, immunity and safety standards
    • Provide information to senior management regarding the impact of new technology programs.
    • Travel requirement: -10%Education and Experience:
      • B.S Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
      • M.S. Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (desired)
      • Must have 10 to 15 years of Electrical Engineering experience working with electrical and electronic devices in the medical industry.
      • Must have 10 to 15 years of experience and understanding of analog electronics design on a broad range of common electronic components and Integrated Circuits.
      • Experience and knowledge of robotics systems and motor controllers.
      • Familiar with PCB and schematic layout tools
      • Extensive knowledge in SPICE tools for simulation
      • System-level design expertise with high voltages
      • Extensive understanding of electronic design reliability and experience in effective methodologyPreferred Experience:
        • Extensive knowledge of international medical electrical safety standards (EN-60601-1)
        • Skilled with--business and PCB layout and manufacturing software (Mentor Graphics PADS and DxDesigner preferred)
        • Skilled with LabVIEW programming
        • Skilled with MATLAB/SIMULINK
        • Skilled in signal integrity and power integrity analysis (HyperLynx preferred)
        • Skilled in HDL languages for CPLD and FPGA
        • Extensive knowledge of electrical emission, immunity, and safety testing of medical devices
        • Ability to develop products in pace with market changes
        • Familiar with quality control and regulatory processes throughout the company.
        • Capable of creating the initial design when given a concept, implement the design process, and bring the product to completion.
