RWJBH is seeking a full-time Director of Case Management for our New Brunswick campus. Responsibilities:

• Monitors and reduces length of stay while maintaining optimal patient outcomes.
• Provides clinical supervision to Case Managers to ensure that Case Management intervention is consistent with department standards of clinical practice.
• Supervises outcomes management, case documentation and case preparation activities by Case Management staff to assure the timely delivery of Case Management intervention and age specific needs, i.e. infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
• Maintains a positive leadership style with Department Directors to foster problem resolution.
• Adapts Local, State, Federal legislation to the delivery of services and discharge planning activities.
• Satisfies JCAHO, NJSDOH & SS requirements pertaining to Case Management.Requirements:
  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing required.
  • Two or more years of clinical experience in a medical/surgical capacity required.
  • Two or more years of management experience supervising utilization management/case management and quality assurance from either provider or payer sector required.
  • Five years of experience in a an acute care hospital setting required.
