Job Description:
TRC Advanced Energy (TRC) is a nationally known energy
efficiency consultancy. TRC collaborates with clients to develop
and implement market transforming programs and initiatives that
promote energy efficiency, renewable energy, and green building in
multiple market sectors across the US and around the world. These
initiatives reduce energy costs, improve the health and safety
conditions of buildings, while also helping the environment by
reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
TRC seeks a Marketing Manager to lead, develop, and manage the
deployment of strategies and tactics to increase participation in
New Jersey energy efficiency programs. You work collaboratively
with clients and marketing partners to develop and implement
marketing plans that promote energy efficiency and economic
opportunities for New Jersey's energy consumers.
Your understanding of marketing and outreach, knowledge of energy
efficiency and renewable energy technologies, and a passion for the
energy, environmental, and economic landscape of the state combine
to make you an effective voice for clean energy in New Jersey
facilities. Relevant markets include commercial & industrial
(C&I), higher education, schools, hospitals, small business,
and residential sectors, among others.

This position is based out of the TRC New Brunswick, NJ office, but
is currently full-time remote due to the pandemic. Candidates must
reside in the State of New Jersey. TRC cares about employee health,

currently designated as a Work From Home (WFH) position, under the
guidelines outlined in our Work From Home (WFH) Policy. WFH

Key Responsibilities
Developand execute an integrated marketing plan for the one or more
energy efficiency programs while maintaining consistent branding
and messaging.
Work with client staff and marketing partners to recommend and, as
necessary, implement publicity and public relations strategies and
tactics to support marketing
Conduct market research by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing
data and trends
Identify marketing and outreach opportunities by ascertaining
customer requirements and analyzing how the programs can reach a
broad customer base, including customers located in Overburdened
Communities and Urban Enterprise Zones (UEZs).
Perform high-level branding and messaging
Establish benchmarks for key measures such as awareness,
understanding, attitudes, and participation rates. Outreach
initiatives incorporate projected and actual return on investment
(ROI) metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of activities.
Provide oversight of creative content including digital ads,
collateral , displays, exhibits, and educationalmaterials.
Provide support to client public relations and marketing teams as
well as internal marketing, outreach, and program engineering
teams.
Support the creation of culturally responsive marketing materials
and outreach initiatives to reach the many diverse New Jersey
communities
Minimum Qualifications
Residency in the State of New Jersey.
Eligibility to work in the United States.
Bachelor's degree or higher in business, marketing, or related
field is required.
5-10 years of experience developing and implementing marketing,
advertising, or outreach strategies in the energy efficiency sector
or a related field.
Experience in developing marketing plans and initiatives.
Expertise evaluating theeffectiveness of marketing efforts.
Experience working with stateagencies, public authorities, and/or
utilities.
Excellentoral, presentation, and written communications skills.
Hands-on management experience in a fast-paced consulting
environment with exceptional attention to detail and client
service.
Success in developing and implementing plans and management of
budgets and resources.
Valid driver's license.
Reliable means of transportation to attend tradeshows, local
meetings, and events within the State of New Jersey.
Competitive Applicants Will Demonstrate
Previous experience building professional working relationships
with professional organizations, contractors, and decision makers
at all levels
Previous experience in leading and building effective marketing
teams that include outreach or sales.
Previous experience performing culturally responsive outreach or
developing culturally appropriate marketing materials for diverse
communities
Experience with marketing tactics for hard-to-reach
communities.
Experience in managing subcontractor budgets and scope of work.
Travel: Up to 25% throughout the State of New Jersey.
TRC works at various federal, state, and local governmental agency
sites and client projects that may require an employee to be
