Job Description:
Marketing/Communications Manager (Contractor)
The contract duration is initially 12 months, with possible
extension
40 hours/week, Mon-Fri
This position will be responsible for supporting external
engagements in support of advancing business objectives, driving
awareness and advancing organizational reputation. Reporting to the
QFC & Global Engagement Senior Manager, the Communications
Specialist is responsible for supporting the strategic planning,
development, and implementation of marcoms initiatives for
QFCs.
Responsibilities:
--- Support the QFC and Global Engagement Sr. Manager in developing
robust integrated marcoms strategies to recruit applications from
promising innovators across pharmaceutical, medical device,
consumer health, and global public health areas of interest
--- Responsible for managing and implementing marcoms strategies
such as copywriting, content & video marketing, media relations,
social media & email marketing, advertising, cross-promotion with
collaborators, and internal communications
--- Development of promotional materials such as banner ads,
presentations, promotional slide decks, and key messaging
--- Management of content approvals among key internal
stakeholders, Legal, and Health Care Compliance
--- Managing ongoing relationships with internal and external
stakeholders including strategic marketing partners, trade
associations, and collaborators
--- Crafting engaging stories about QuickFire Challenges and
awardees
--- Delivery of robust tracking and insights reports to ensure
execution success
--- Anticipate needs and next steps, proactively recommend actions
and how to solve problems
--- Support the QFC and Global Engagement Sr Manager with ad hoc
requests and administrative responsibilities as needed
Skills:
--- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and judgment skills to
independently complete projects and administrative duties, as well
as anticipate executive needs
--- Required to exercise sound judgment and discretion,
independently assess and resolve complex situations and shift
priorities as the need arises
--- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
--- Able to coordinate multiple projects with overlapping deadlines
and complete tasks autonomously
--- Generate new ideas and contribute to the continuous improvement
of communications programs and processes

Qualifications
--- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications,
Business or a related discipline is required
--- A proven performer with a minimum of 5-7 years of marketing or
communications is required
--- Exceptional writing skills are required
--- Experience within a healthcare setting or industry association
is preferred
--- Experience working with and managing vendors, consultants, and
budgets is preferred
--- Experience in managing social media is preferred
--- Demonstrated proficiency with productivity tools and portal
technology, such as SharePoint, Powerpoint, Microsoft Teams,
HubSpot, SalesForce, & SurveyMonkey is a plus
--- This position may require occasional travel and limited
coordination outside of normal business hours for global
projects.
