Job Description:

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Director in Outpatient Services for Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care.
The primary purpose of the Program Director position is to provide administrative and clinical direction and oversight to assigned programs, assure program integrity and fiscal viability. Responsible for ongoing program development and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• 
  
• Directs the administrative and clinical organization of the program.
  
• Ensures staff meets quality and quantity of work standards.
  
• Demonstrates the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments and meets deadlines.
  
• Plans, trains and supervises the work of others engaged in program supervision. Ensures that supervisory level staff members and the assigned programs comply with all state, university and discipline standards.
  
• Directly supervises assigned staff.
  
• Visits all units regularly to observe treatment and attends general staff meetings.
  
• Collaborates effectively with internal and external service providers, staff members, referral sources, and program funders.
  
• Demonstrates knowledge of professional standards and practices in the field of mental health and rehabilitative services.
  
• Maintains knowledge of trends and development in the mental health field; regularly attends and participates in in-service meetings and other designated training events that will enhance clinical skills, and maintain best practices.
  
• Maintains required certifications and/or memberships in appropriate professional bodies as indicated by annual
  
  vitae update, continuing education record, and updated licensing.

  • Completes all mandatory educational requirements on an annual basis.
    
  • Provides Accreditation and Standards Department and Human Resources copies of any degree requirements, new licenses or new credentials acquired over this last year.
