Join us and make a difference.Manage warehousing, transportation, and temperature management activities ensuring compliance with all applicable legislations and regulations to meet the needs of BMS clinical trials Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs) distribution.Position Responsibilities: Support operations across a network of distribution centers in North and South America, with key focus on main US distribution center including shipping, import and export customs query handling, inventory management SAP transactions, reverse logistics, JIT labelling, documentation, investigations, temperature management, hazardous goods handling and relevant security and EHS proceduresEnsures that main US distribution center has the capacity and capabilities to deliver the required services according to Quality and time-driven targets. - Drives management reviews for main US distribution center to identify strategic priorities and ensure timely implementation of ongoing projects, as per business requirementsSupport America's transportation and warehouse network teams on issue resolution, working with a range of internal and external stakeholders to troubleshoot and ensure uninterrupted supply of investigational product to patients for the Americas regionEnsure compliance of logistics activities with standard operating procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Distribution Practices, Good Documentation Practices, company valuation policies and all relevant national and international regulationCollaborate with Global Quality to ensure all Quality System elements are in place and Quality deliverables are achieved. - Initiate, investigate and close Quality Events, CAPAs and Change Controls in collaboration with QualityWork with 3rd party and internal partners to drive the evolution of capabilities, capacity, additional services and contract structure to reflect the changing nature of the BMS portfolio, the BMS business model and evolving regulationContributes to the optimization of warehousing and transportation activities through effective leadership and communication with different functional groups within and outside the organization including, but not limited to, Trial Supply Management, Regional Clinical Operations, Global Logistics, Global Procurement, Security, Global Quality, EHS, Packaging TechnologySupport Time and Temperature Sensitive Product assessments, as well as development and implementation of Time and Temperature Sensitive Product strategies, as requiredSupport internal audits and external inspections as requiredProvide SAP troubleshooting support and issue resolution within BMS and vendor related Investigational Medicinal Product (IMP) distribution activities.Develop tools and metrics to support Americas region logistics and related continuous improvementSupport Senior Manager Clinical Supply Logistics with budgeting and expense management through reporting and analysisLead and participate on cross-functional projects supporting improvements in Americas region logistics, as requiredDevelop or update procedural documents, as requiredDegree Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (Logistics, Supply Chain, Science, Engineering, Business Administration)Experience Requirements:5+ years experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Pharmaceuticals, or related fieldKey Competency Requirements:Knowledge of Supply Chain and Logistics and demonstrated experience working across different organizations relying on, within, and supporting the supply chain. -Knowledge of Clinical Supply Chain and Clinical Trial and Investigational Medicinal Product LogisticsUnderstanding and experience of GMP and GDP requirements as applied to the Pharmaceutical or BioPharma industry.Experience with SAP highly desirableDemonstrated ability to effectively drive and/or make decisionsDemonstrated success in partnering with stakeholder functionsDemonstrated ability to lead multi-function teams and projects. -Demonstrated ability to drive and implement continuous improvement projectsExperience leading and supervising operational teamsExperience in developing, coaching, managing and motivating peopleExperience in developing tools and metrics to support operational performance managementStrong skills in electronic systems, data analysis, data managementOutstanding written and verbal communication skills requiredTravel:Some travel expected on an as needed basis.Around the world, we are passionate about making an impact on the lives of patients with serious diseases.
