The hospital also received nine High Performing ratings in Common Adult Conditions and Procedures and Specialties, including: Aortic Valve Repair, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, COPD, Colon Cancer Surgery, Diabetes, Heart Attack, Heart Failure, Kidney Failure, Stroke, Gastroenterology and GI Surgery.Job Summary:The Position of Assistant Vice President of the Cardiovascular Service Line is responsible for key constituents to include referring primary care physicians, cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, vascular surgeons, and transplant surgeons, cardiac anesthesiologists, nursing leadership, hospital executives, clinical and service leaders and other service line leaders. The leader in this role will continue to build a unified, systematic, and highly successful cardiovascular service line for RWJUH. The Assistant Vice President will also have administrative responsibility, including day-to-day operations of both invasive and non-invasive services for Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery and will be responsible for aligning the strategic vision and infrastructure to successfully build and execute clinical programs of extraordinary quality that will drive growth, operational efficiency, and financial performance. The Assistant Vice President will need to be able to work in highly complex organization and must feel comfortable working in that environment. In collaboration with the Senior Executive team, this position will have shared responsibility for strategic planning and development of cardiovascular services at the academic medical center.Requirements/Qualifications:

• Graduate degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or Public Administration required. Accounting or legal background desirable.
• Minimum of ten (10) years successful senior healthcare management and financial leadership experience, preferably within an academic medical center.
• Demonstrated experience in effectively managing all aspects of clinical operations with particular experience with financial performance in a complex matrixed healthcare organization.
• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing strategic business opportunities that produce new and continuing sources of revenue for the Hospital.
• Demonstrated experience delivering exceptional quality and financial performance.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
