Easy Apply now by clicking the "Apply" button and sending us your resume.Salary: $80,000 - $130,000 per yearA bit about us:We are seeking a strong Controls / Automation Manager to join our team!Responsibilities:The incumbent will assume responsibility for the design of electrical control systems pertinent to overhead hoists, engineered cranes, and other material handling equipment. Additionally, they will create or adhere to specifications for the application and programming of variable frequency drives (VFDs), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), safety PLCs, safety relay circuits, programmable operator interfaces (HMIs), and a range of fieldbus networks commonly employed within the overhead crane and material handling equipment sector.The role necessitates the ability to proficiently program PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs, as well as configure and establish diverse fieldbus communication networks. Tasks will encompass project enhancements and collaboration with various departments (Service, Sales, Application Engineering, Manufacturing, and Procurement).

• Conceptualize and engineer comprehensive control systems, encompassing both hardware and software design, for Overhead Hoists, Cranes, and other maintenance equipment for material handling.
• Recognize and employ electrical control equipment/devices such as VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, smart devices, a variety of fieldbus networks, machine control relays, safety-rated devices and circuits, and motor starters with overloads for overhead hoists, cranes, and other material handling equipment.
• Generate drawings, compile bills of materials, undertake electrical calculations, and perform PLC/HMI/Drive programming.
• Demonstrate the ability to collaborate with other departments when required, including Project Management, Mechanical Design Engineers, Application Engineers, and the Field Service Department.
• Be hands-on with electrical technicians on the manufacturing floor and in the field when the situation demands it.Why join us?

  • Career AdvancementJob DetailsEducation:The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and should be proficient in computer applications such as AutoCAD and other electrical design tools.Experience:
    • Familiarity with NEC, Crane Manufacturers Association of America Standards, and expertise in PLC controls, including HMI hardware and software applications, is advantageous.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with familiarity with MS Office applications, are essential.
