Learn more at Overview of the role: The Senior Director, Early Development & Lifecycle Strategy will be responsible for building and strengthening organizational capabilities to maximize portfolio value, including defining product innovation opportunities for assets throughout the development timeline (from discovery to launch to end-of-life) to optimize the lifetime value of the asset and serve more patients. In addition, this leader will collaborate with GCSO therapy teams, and R&D leaders and partner closely with Legal/IP teams/experts to identify and share novel approaches and best practices related to lifecycle optimization, IP and LOE. The lead will also be responsible for driving governance process and asset development in partnership with TA teams and R&D CDTLs. Key remit of the Early Development and Lifecycle Strategy Team Early Development: Infusing comprehensive planning to enhance our long-term commercial success to 1. support integrated strategic planning (delivered by DAS teams in early development, post POC and ahead of registration start) and 2. asset development plan governance in partnership with R&D strategy. e.g., market definition, early brand strategy, positioning, indication evolution, posology, technology enhancements, formulations that will have implications for pricing and access to support. Lifecycle planning and IP strategy: Evolved patent protection for key early, late development and marketed assets in partnership with R&D, commercial and legal.

• The team is a key partner in developing early commercial strategy and building the lifecycle innovation plan at the asset level (with indication based organized teams).
• Partner with GCSO, R&D and BD project teams to support capability-build of IP and lifecycle planning excellence.
• Responsible for sharing best practices in both capability-building and strategy/action plan across therapeutic areas.
• Partnering with TA leaders and R&D strategy on the newly introduced governance for DC/IC etc., Critical capabilities:
  • Strong commercial and business acumen with a preference for both global and regional experience to enable strong collaboration and credibility with key stakeholders.
