Job Description:

RWJBH is seeking a Pharmacist at our Cancer Center at the New Brunswick Campus. This is a full-time, day position (40 hours/week).

Job Summary:

* Perform clinical review of all physician orders and make necessary interventions prior to dispensing medications.
* Licensed registered pharmacists oversee all aspects of medication usage, including drug distribution, drug procurement and storage, sterile product preparation and drug therapy monitoring.
* Reviews physician orders to assure accuracy and appropriateness of treatment, intervenes with prescriber and documents interventions as required.
* Follows through and documents all orders requiring clarification and/or alteration in a responsible and accountable manner in accordance with the highest professional standards, formulary compliance and hospital policy.
* Supervises and works closely with Pharmacy Technician team.
* Stays up to date with departmental information, Net Learning assignments, staff meetings, and policy changes, by attending meetings, reading posted communications, email, and other methods of communication.



Requirements/Qualifications:

* Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school required.
* Current NJ Pharmacy License required.
* NJ Board Registration required.
* Minimum of one (1) year accredited pharmacy residency strongly preferred.
* Oncology experience strongly preferred.
