Job Description:

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking an additional Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist to join our team. The group serves as consultants to over 60 generalist obstetricians participating in the management of women with maternal, placental and/or fetal issues. Hospital is a member of the Columbia Research network and actively participates in large randomized control trials. We also have an independent Ob/Gyn residency with five residents per year. As the MFM specialist, you will:

• Provide excellent medical care for both inpatients and outpatients.
• Participate in resident, medical student, nursing / medical staff, and sonographer staff education including but not limited to informal teaching, patient rounds, medical procedures, and lectures as requested by Department Chair and/or MFM Division Director.
• Contribute to research activities as requested by hospital administration, Department Chair or MFM Division Director.
• Perform all administrative duties and attend all meetings as requested by hospital administration, Department Chair or MFM Division Director, maintain up to date and develop MFM and Obstetric guidelines.
• Enjoy being a valuable member of a collaborative, dynamic team in a supportive environment. Qualifications:
  • Training and expertise in a variety of antepartum procedures such as obstetrical ultrasound interpretation, chorionic villus sampling, amniocentesis, and cervical cerclage placement.
  • Completed an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency as well as an accredited Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship.
  • Must be either board-eligible or preferably board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology with a Special Certification in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
  • An active unrestricted New Jersey state medical license.
