Job Description:

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking an additional Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist to join our team. The group serves as consultants to over 60 generalist obstetricians participating in the management of women with maternal, placental and/or fetal issues. Hospital is a member of the Columbia Research network and actively participates in large randomized control trials. We also have an independent Ob/Gyn residency with five residents per year. As the MFM specialist, you will: Provide excellent medical care for both inpatients and outpatients. Participate in resident, medical student, nursing / medical staff, and sonographer staff education including but not limited to informal teaching, patient rounds, medical procedures, and lectures as requested by Department Chair and/or MFM Division Director. Contribute to research activities as requested by hospital administration, Department Chair or MFM Division Director. Perform all administrative duties and attend all meetings as requested by hospital administration, Department Chair or MFM Division Director, maintain up to date and develop MFM and Obstetric guidelines. Qualifications: Training and expertise in a variety of antepartum procedures such as obstetrical ultrasound interpretation, chorionic villus sampling, amniocentesis, and cervical cerclage placement. Completed an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency as well as an accredited Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship. Must be either board-eligible or preferably board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology with a Special Certification in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
