Job Description:
Our busy home health agency is rapidly growing and we're seeking
an experienced home health aide to assist us in providing superior
in-home health care to our clients. Our ideal candidate will have
excellent organization and communication skills, and 1-3 years of
experience working as an HHA or caregiver. You'll assist our
patients with companionship, basic medical care, light housekeeping
duties, personal care, and hygiene tasks so that they are empowered

Responsibilities:
--- Transport patients as needed to doctor's offices or other
health care services, grocery shopping, or for other errands
--- Help patients complete exercise, and physical therapy and
ambulate the patient as indicated in the care plan
--- Implement care plans as directed by the case manager, and keep
updated and accurate care records
--- Enable patients to complete personal hygiene tasks like
bathing, toileting, shaving, grooming, dressing, etc.
--- Oversee medication tasks such as opening bottles, organizing
self-administered dosing and arranging refills; and assist with
meal preparation and planning
Qualifications:
--- Conclusion of home health aide training programs from community
colleges are acceptable - Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or
Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) is a bonus
--- 1-3 years of experience as an HHA/ home health aide, personal
caregiver, nursing assistant, or personal care aid for a home
health agency, at patient homes or care facilities settings is
needed
--- Excellent communication and organizational skills are valuable,
as is a compassionate, empathetic, and kind personality
--- First aid training and current CPR certification is needed and
you must be able to pass a drug test, full employment background
check, and physical
--- Possess a valid state driver's license, current auto insurance,
and reliable transportation
--- You must be authorized to work in the United States and live
within commuting distance of West Orange, NJ to be considered for
this position.
