This service streamlines continuing education for all NaphCare Employees to meet state specific requirements for maintaining licensing.Responsibilities:Responsibilities:Perform and document mental health evaluations, progress notes, individual and group counseling notes and suicide watch notesCoordinate with healthcare and security staff regarding patients mental health care and release datesParticipate in educational and training activities related to mental health care for patients, security personnel, and healthcare staffDemonstrate knowledge of DSM-V / DSM-V-TR criteriaProvide goal oriented intervention directed toward management of terminal illness; reaction/adjustment to illness; strengthening of family/support system; conflict resolution related to chronic illnessCounsel and provide intervention to assist in the transition to being incarceratedDocument thoroughly all tasks as stated in clients medical record to maintain social work recording and statisticsInitiates and/or participates in patient education and treatment programs, such as developing educational materials and providing group therapyQualifications:Qualifications:Master's prepared Mental Health Professional with active, unrestricted licensure as a ( LCSW, LPC ) in New JerseyExperience in Substance Abuse Counseling preferredA valid CPR cardA minimum of 3 years clinical experience in a mental health care setting, with correctional healthcare experience preferredMust have knowledge and experience in the identification and treatment of mental health and co-occurring substance abuse disorders, discharge planning, principles of social work, basic principles of individual and group behavior, and a working knowledge of psychotropic medications.We know you may have questions before applying.
