science, we’re in. Are you? About the Role: The Associate Director,
US Field Medical Training will be responsible for implementing and
delivering a comprehensive training program for assigned
therapeutic areas for field medical colleagues in the US. This role
will collaborate across the full Global Medical Training team to
utilize and localize training plans, tools, and materials for the
US Field Medical team. The Associate Director, US Field Medical
Training will drive training in scientific expertise coupled with
communication/soft skills. This role will require close
collaboration across the US Field Team as well as with the Global
Medical Strategy & Communications team, HEOR, Medical Information,
and Field Medical Excellence. The Associate Director US Field
Medical Training will impart the principles of effective learning
into all deliverables. What You'll Do: Medical Training Plans –
Implement global training plans across US Field Medical to drive
worldwide consistency. Create and deliver regional specific
pull-through trainings following global training sessions to meet
regional training needs including case studies, scenario-based
learning, verbalization practice, and objection handling sessions.
Identify unique local training needs and deliver solutions. Utilize
various learning methodologies including micro-learning,
interactive case studies, etc. Onboarding – Deliver onboarding
training to field medical new hires within assigned therapeutic
areas. Live and Virtual Training Sessions – Lead the agenda
development, logistics, and session planning for live training
sessions. Serve as a trainer to deliver sessions and collaborate
with other subject matter experts to deliver specific sessions
where needed. Organize and lead weekly Field Medical virtual
training calls. Soft Skills – Understand local needs for
communication and skill development training. Funnel needs into
annual global training plans. Implement aligned programs in the US
utilizing regionally based scenarios, cases, etc. For locally
unique needs, lead development of programs. Couple skills
development with scientific content for a holistic approach.
Commercial Training – Partner with commercial cross-functional
colleagues as appropriate. Metrics – Track and report on training
effectiveness, completion rates, and impact metrics.
Cross-functional Alignment – Partner across the full Global Medical
Training team to ensure consistency worldwide. Ensure close
collaboration with US Field Medical Leadership, Medical Directors,
Field Medical Heads, Scientific Communications, Field Medical
Excellence, and Commercial Effectiveness to deliver high quality,
strategic training plans. Partner with legal/compliance to ensure
appropriateness of all materials. Innovation – Identify and drive
innovative approaches to training and adult learning.
Customer-Focused – Expectation to spend time in the field
understanding customer and MSL/MOL needs and translating to
training opportunities. Support other Global Medical Training
roles/activities based on business needs. Who You Are: Advanced
degree required (PharmD, PhD, MD, NP-C). 6 years of Medical Affairs
experience required including direct experience within Field
Medical beneficial (3 years). Understanding of adult learning
methodologies and training development required. Deep understanding
of US market and the ability to develop knowledge in assigned
therapeutic areas and products required. Forward looking
professional with a continuous process improvement mentality.
Strong strategic thinker with ability to connect multiple
components. Leadership presence and ability to present and engage
across the organization. Strong communication skills and the
ability to build effective relationships with internal partners.
Creative problem solver who encourages unique solutions to issues.
Proven track record of working in a global environment across
multiple international markets. Strong understanding of regional
healthcare systems and compliance environments. Excellent
presentation and facilitation skills Ability to translate complex
scientific information into engaging training content. Flexible
approach to changing priorities and business needs. Ability to
travel up to 30%. LI-MM1 LI-Remote Pay Range:
