Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Location: New Brunswick, NJ Agency: Revolution Healthcare Services Pay: $2,638 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular ICU RN – New Jersey Start Date: February 9, 2026 Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, 2 of 3 holidays required, no block scheduling Highlights: Cardiovascular ICU specializing in fresh open heart cases including CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR 1:1-2 nurse-to-patient ratio with complex cardiac and critical care patient population Float opportunities to all ICUs, PACU, ED for ICU holding patients, and cardiac intermediate care units Experience with advanced cardiac devices required: Impella, IABP, and CRRT using Prismaflex Epic charting system preferred with comprehensive interdisciplinary support First-time travelers accepted; local candidates welcome Requirements: Active New Jersey or Compact state RN license required at time of submission Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required CVICU experience with fresh open hearts (CABG, MVR, AVR, TAVR) strongly preferred; may consider SICU experience with initial CVICU training Demonstrated competency in post-op open heart recovery, Swan-Ganz monitoring, FloTrac, temporary pacers, arterial lines, ventilator management, and chest tubes Experience with ventricular assist devices, continuous renal replacement therapy, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring Proficiency in 12-lead EKG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, and cardiac drip titration Ability to float within skillset to all critical care and intermediate care areas Availability to work 2 of 3 major holidays during contract period Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work with a diverse and challenging cardiovascular patient population, caring for fresh post-operative cardiac surgery patients alongside complex critical care cases involving multi-system organ dysfunction and advanced life support technologies.
