Down RN – New Jersey Start Date: February 9, 2026 Location: New
Brunswick, New Jersey Compensation: Details provided to qualified
applicants Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend and
holiday rotation required; must be available to work 2 of 3
holidays Highlights: Patient ratios: 1:1-2 for critical care; 1:3
for intermediate care Float opportunities across pediatric units
including PICU, NICU, adolescent, pediatric, and pediatric
hematology/oncology Epic EMR system in use First-time travelers
welcome; local candidates accepted at same rate Diverse case mix
including trauma, critical care, step-down, and specialty pediatric
populations Comprehensive orientation with required skills
validation Requirements: Active New Jersey or Compact RN license
required at time of submission Minimum 2 years of pediatric
critical care or step-down experience required ACLS, BLS, and PALS
certifications required; NIH Stroke Scale preferred Advanced
nursing skills including central venous pressure monitoring,
CVVH/CRRT, hemodynamic monitoring, EKG interpretation and
management, IV vasopressor administration, and ventilator
management Experience with pediatric early warning systems (PEWs),
insulin pumps, procedural sedation, and various access devices
(ports, arterial lines, central lines, PICCs) Competency in
specialized equipment including external ventricular drains, VP
shunts, ICP monitoring, high-flow nasal cannula, ETT, tracheostomy
care, and wound management ECMO experience preferred Willingness to
float within pediatric specialty areas as needed Why It's a Great
