/n /n Oversees all areas of the hospital in absence of leadership.

Responsibility /n /n 1.Oversees and manages operations and patient
care activities in all areas of facility in the absence of
leadership. /n 2.Provides leadership to supervisors and team
members by communicating and guiding toward achieving facility
objectives. /n 3.Communicates, builds consensus, and guides
departments toward achieving hospital objectives. /n 4.Promotes and
maintains high quality patient and family centered care in a
healing environment. /n 5.Maintains a professional work environment
that fosters team member respect, engagement, accountability and
optimal patient outcomes. /n 6.Promotes appreciative inquiry and
evidence-based, ethical and compassionate practice. /n 7.Provides
direction and guidance to patient care unit team members and
supervisors in clinical and operational concerns in the absence of
leadership. /n 8.May provide input into performance reviews,
hiring, promotions and corrective actions. /n 9.Serves as a role
model for standards of professional practice (clinical, educational
and leadership). /n 10.Monitors personnel, supply and equipment
considerations in the absence of leadership. /n 11.Assesses
hospital activity, patient activity and personnel resources in
order to ensure equitable and appropriate staffing. /n 12.Ensures
adherence to the established care delivery model, using knowledge
of scope and standards of practice. /n 13.Facilitates continual
compliance with the JC, CMS, New York State, DOH, Public Health
Law, HIPPA regulations and System, hospital and department
standards. /n 14.Demonstrates broad understanding of the regulatory
environment in order to ensure hospital compliance with
requirements. /n 15.Maintains current knowledge of scope and
standards of practice, healthcare legislation, and population
health. /n 16.Identifies opportunities to initiate operational
change within facility using evidence-based strategies and
solutions. /n 17.Performs related duties as required. All

/n Job Qualification /n /n Bachelors of Science Degree, required.
Masters, preferred. (Bachelors or Master’s degree must be in
nursing) /n Current license to practice as a Registered
Professional Nurse in New York State, required. /n Specialized
certifications, as needed. /n 6-10 years of nursing experience and
5-7 years of leadership/management experience, required. /n 2 years
of Psych exp, highly preferred /n *Additional Salary Detail /n The
