CT Technologist Job Summary Under the direction of a radiologist, the CT Technologist performs diagnostic Computed Tomography (CT) procedures using prescribed ionizing radiation. The technologist works independently, ensuring high-quality imaging, patient safety, and adherence to departmental protocols. Essential Duties - Prepare and position patients for CT examinations - Enter and verify patient data in Epic - Select appropriate CT protocols and obtain diagnostic-quality images - Assist with CT-guided procedures and operate contrast injectors as needed - Place IV lines and prepares contrast - Process, label, and present images for radiologist interpretation - Maintain accurate procedural documentation - Follow radiation safety and infection control standards - Maintain cleanliness of CT work areas - Train students or staff as assigned Qualifications - High School Diploma or equivalent - Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program - ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (CT required per policy) - Experience with CT systems and Epic preferred - Must meet Occupational Health requirements Montefiore Medical Center is an equal employment opportunity employer.
