inequities. Position Summary: Under the direction of the Associate
Branch Executive Director, the Wellness & Sports Director is
responsible for the management of all Wellness Center operations
and Sports programming to include oversite of all wellness floor
staff, personal trainers, group ex instructors, youth and adult
sports staff. The Wellness & Sports Director takes a leading role
in building relationships with members and program participants
through effective and positive member service in support of our
member first initiatives and culture Qualifications A Bachelor’s
Degree in a related field (Exercise Science or Physical Education)
or equivalent experience 3 Years Experience working in the
wellness, fitness, or sports industry. Supervisory experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite Availability to work evenings and
weekends as required by program schedules. Essential Functions ·
Lead the strategic development, implementation, and growth of
Wellness and Sports programs. · Oversee staff hiring, training,
scheduling, supervision, and evaluations across all program areas.
· Design and implement innovative wellness programs, including
group exercise, personal training, chronic disease prevention, and
specialty offerings. · Manage onsite, offsite, and virtual wellness
services. · Conduct member orientations, fitness assessments, and
instruction as needed. · Promote new classes, equipment, and
program enhancements to support member engagement and retention. ·
Maintain equipment functionality, cleanliness, and safety
standards. · Develop and deliver youth and adult sports programs
aligned with skill development and sportsmanship. · Recruit, train,
and supervise sports instructors and volunteers. · Oversee
registration, enrollment, and waitlist management to maximize
participation. · Maintain gym schedules and ensure accurate
communication across digital channels. · Manage all wellness and
sports equipment and supplies. · Process payroll, purchase orders,
and administrative tasks within budget guidelines. · Provide
monthly budget variance analysis and maintain financial oversight
for all program areas. · Monitor program quality through surveys,
feedback, and assessments. · Collaborate with Marketing to promote
programs and drive participation. · Ensure consistent member
service excellence and safety across all program spaces. · Maintain
daily oversight of facility and equipment conditions and report
issues promptly. · Lead, coach, and develop staff and volunteers to
foster a high-performing team culture. · Support the Annual
Campaign and fundraising initiatives. · Attend required meetings,
committees, and trainings. · Model YMCA core values and ensure
compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

abilities required by this job include close vision, distance
vision, and the ability to adjust. The noise level in the work
environment is usually moderate, with occasional noise levels
