Job Description Annual Salary: $130k – $165k (varies depending
on years of experience) We are seeking a skilled and experienced
Nurse Practitioner (NP) Supervisor to lead our client’s
school-based health team. In this supervisory role, you will
oversee the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to
students, ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering a
culture of excellence in care. A valid Medicare/Medicaid credential
is required to ensure access to care for underserved populations.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the
school-based health team, including Nurse Practitioners and support
staff. Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations
for team members. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local
healthcare regulations, including Medicare/Medicaid guidelines.
Support staff in conducting comprehensive health assessments,
diagnosing, and managing student health conditions. Act as a
clinical resource for complex cases and provide second opinions
when needed. Monitor the quality of care provided, implementing
improvements as necessary. Develop and implement health programs to
meet the needs of the student population, including preventive care
and health education initiatives. Collaborate with school
administrators, counselors, and community partners to enhance the
school’s health services. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings
to coordinate care and address student needs. Ensure accurate and
timely documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Prepare and review reports on service delivery, compliance, and
quality improvement initiatives. Monitor and maintain
Medicare/Medicaid billing practices to ensure adherence to
guidelines. Requirements: Master’s degree in Nursing from an
accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Active and unrestricted
Nurse Practitioner license in NY. Certification as a Family Nurse
Practitioner (FNP) or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP).
Medicare/Medicaid credentialing required. Minimum of 3-5 years of
experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with at least 2 years in a
leadership or supervisory role. Experience in school-based health
settings or pediatric care preferred. Strong leadership and
management skills, including team-building and conflict resolution.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work
