Posting Summary Rutgers Cancer Institute invites applications
for a tenure-track assistant professor faculty position with a
research focus in tumor immunology including cancer immunotherapy,
immunometabolism, CAR -T therapy, checkpoint blockade, T cell
biology, tumor antigens, tumor immune evasion, and viral and
non-viral gene transfer and gene editing. The successful candidate
will join a team of researchers and clinicians as a member of the
Cancer Immunology and Metabolism Center of Excellence (CIMCoE) ,
co-directed by Drs. Christian Hinrichs and Eileen White. The CIMCoE
is built on existing strengths in cancer metabolism and
immunological research in partnership with Princeton University and
clinical translation through our robust CAR -T and TCR -T cell
therapy program with onsite GMP manufacturing and first-in-human
clinical trials. The research program is based on an iterative
bench-to-bedside strategy of investigator-initiated research in
which laboratory discovery drives clinical trials, and clinical
trials drive laboratory research. This is an exciting opportunity
to join a developing world class cancer immunology and
immunotherapy program and a cellular therapy center of excellence.
Attractive laboratory packages exist for qualified candidates. New
faculty are expected to establish an innovative, independent, and
collaborative research program addressing important, fundamental
questions in the area of tumor immunology. Interdisciplinary and
translational approaches are encouraged that establish
collaborations with Rutgers Cancer Institute consortium faculty.
Investigators should have a record of peer reviewed funding and
publications in cancer immunology. All candidates must have a Ph.D.
and/or M.D., or equivalent graduate degree, and outstanding
