Posting Summary Rutgers Cancer Institute seeks an academically
oriented hematologist/oncologist for a clinical research position
with a clinical focus in lymphoma , a record of original clinical
research, and exceptional clinical skills. Unique opportunities
exist for collaborations between clinical enterprise at RWJ
Barnabas Health and research programs Rutgers Cancer Institute.
Research programs at Rutgers Cancer Institute include Cancer
Metabolism and Immunology, Genomic Instability and Cancer Genetics,
Cancer Pharmacology, Clinical Investigations and Precision
Therapeutics, and Cancer Prevention and Control. There are a broad
range of teaching opportunities with medical students, house staff,
and fellows. Academic rank and clinical research support
commensurate with experience. Uniquely qualified candidates may be
considered for additional leadership responsibilities as Section
Head for Hematologic Malignancy. As a National Cancer Institute (
NCI ) Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, Rutgers Cancer

care network, including clinical trials, immunotherapy, precision
medicine, complex surgical procedures, and sophisticated radiation
therapy techniques. Rutgers Cancer Institute and Robert Wood
Johnson University Hospital, an RWJBarnabas Health facility, are
one of only two programs in the state to offer blood and marrow
transplantations and CAR T-cell therapy. It also houses the state’s

Institute is home to nearly 250 internationally recognized
physicians and researchers. The long-standing relationship with
their NCI Research Consortium Partner Princeton University was
recently leveraged to establish the Ludwig Cancer Research
Princeton Branch with several faculty as founding members and
leaders of the Branch. Their work on cancer metabolism, not only
through the new Ludwig Branch but also through the Duncan and Nancy
MacMillan Cancer Immunology and Metabolism Center of Excellence at
Rutgers Cancer Institute, will accelerate and translate laboratory

efficiently designed clinical trials. The Rutgers Cancer
Institute’s Duncan and Nancy MacMillan Cancer Immunology and
Metabolism Center of Excellence is an institute at the intersection
of oncologic immunology and metabolism that seeks to increase
research that leads to new therapies for patients; develop
cutting-edge facilities to test new interventions; and facilitate

of Blood Disorders The multidisciplinary team of experts within the
Hematologic Malignancies Program combines exceptional expertise,
knowledge, and skill with advanced therapies to treat benign and

environment. Physicians are among the nation’s most experienced
with expertise in routine, rare and complex hematologic
malignancies, treating advanced blood cancers with clinical trials,
immunotherapy, and other cellular therapies. Rutgers Cancer
Institute is one of the first programs in the state to offer CAR
T-cell therapy and other novel cell therapy constructs. The
Program’s approach to cancer care offers the full spectrum of
therapeutic procedures and advanced treatment options for patients
with acute and chronic leukemia, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Hodgkin
lymphoma, multiple myeloma, myelodysplasia, myeloproliferative
diseases, and other hematologic malignancies. Rutgers Cancer
Institute, in collaboration with Robert Wood Johnson University
Hospital , an RWJBarnabas Health facility , is home to one of only
two blood and marrow transplant programs in the state and the only

the Myelodysplastic Syndromes ( MDS ) Foundation in the research,
diagnosis, and treatment of MDS disorders. The Division of Blood
Disorders is organized in the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical
