Job Description:
The HR Recruiter will recruit for both manufacturing and
corporate positions. They will be on-site at the plant five days a
week. They will spearhead the recruitment process by sourcing,
screening, and onboarding qualified candidates. When there aren't
hiring needs, this person will help with HR projects. This is an
exciting opportunity with a growing, global company that
prioritizes employee development. Our client is a global food
manufacturing company with multiple plants in New Jersey and New
York. They sell their products in supermarkets, restaurants,
hotels, airlines, caterers, and more. The HR Recruiter / Generalist
position will sit in their New Jersey plant in Union County. This
role will report to the VP of HR and lead recruiting for the
company. They will also help with employee relations, performance
management, and other HR functions.
Spearhead the recruitment process by sourcing, screening, and
selecting qualified candidates for various positions within the
manufacturing plant, ensuring alignment with the organization's
goals, culture, and workforce needs.
Partner closely with hiring managers and department heads to
understand their staffing requirements, develop job descriptions,
and establish recruitment strategies tailored to each department's
needs and objectives.
Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, coordinating with
departmental stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition into their
roles, including orientation, training, and integration into the
team and company culture.
Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding
HR-related inquiries, concerns, and conflict resolution, fostering
a positive work environment and promoting employee engagement and
morale within the manufacturing plant.
Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and legal
regulations governing employment practices within the manufacturing
plant, including but not limited to safety protocols, labor laws,
and diversity and inclusion initiatives, to maintain a compliant
and ethical workplace.
3-5 years of HR and recruiting experience in a manufacturing
setting.
- Deep understanding of a manufacturing plant environment.
- Someone who is bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience writing job descriptions.
- Experience handling employee relations issues.
