Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/25/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring scrub experience, current labor skills, and a NJ or compact license. Responsibilities - Work in a 12-bed, 11-room Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting - Typical patient ratio is 1:2 - Primary responsibilities include high-risk deliveries, c-section recovery, and obstetric triage - Night shift position with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:30) - Every third weekend scheduled - Floating within skillset required, with patient ratios adjusted based on acuity when floated - Charting is completed using EPIC EMR, with pre-start training provided - Scrub uniforms are provided - Must be available to work two out of three winter holidays unless otherwise specified - No block scheduling is permitted - First-time travelers must have current L&D experience - Return staff must be separated from the health system for at least one year to qualify - Free parking is available onsite - Locals are accepted at the same rate - All modules and orientation, including required EPIC and facility-specific training, are completed prior to start - Clinicians are required to make up missed shifts within the same pay period - Excessive callouts or incomplete contracts may result in ineligibility for future assignments Requirements - Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of consideration - Minimum of 2 years' current Labor & Delivery experience required - Experience with scrubbing for deliveries is mandatory - Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Intermediate AWHONN, and Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) - Ability to maintain central lines, administer medications, assist with high-risk deliveries, perform sterile vaginal exams, and recover c-sections Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628444.
