Job Description:
RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in
New Jersey, is currently seeking a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified
Gastroenterologist for a full-time role as an Inflammatory Bowel
Disease Specialist at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center New
Brunswick . New staff will obtain a faculty position at Rutgers
Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, as well as with the Department
of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. The Department of
Gastroenterology and Hepatology is home to an academic inflammatory
bowel disease center as well as the Rutgers Crohns and Colitis
Center of New Jersey . The Inflammatory Bowel Disease Specialist
will also participate in our PGY7 Advanced IBD Training Program and
ACGME GI Fellowship Training Program, with protected time for
teaching, research, program building and other academic activities,
and we have a monthly Multidisciplinary IBD Clinical Pathologic
Conference. New staff will be excited to help build our growing
multidisciplinary IBD clinic jointly with RWJMS Department of
Colorectal Surgery with new space for this joint clinic to open in
2023. Duties for this role will include a mixture of clinical and
endoscopy duties. The position features a strong academic component
with many teaching opportunities available to the ideal candidate,
as well as chances to engage in clinical trials and research. New
staff will be excited to join a busy practice that receives
referrals from all throughout New Jersey. RWJMS New Brunswick is an
advanced facility that provides state-of-the-art medical treatment
across a broad spectrum of different disciplines, and features one
of the only Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center's in New Jersey.
