Job Description:
As a part of Andy Frain Services, the Security Package Screener
plays a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of security and
safety. Focused predominantly in the aviation and events sectors,
our screeners contribute to ensuring a secure environment by
meticulously scanning packages to prevent prohibited articles from
compromising the facilities we serve. This position demands acute
attention to detail, adherence to strict safety procedures, and a
commitment to providing tailored security solutions. The Security
Package Screener will operate screening equipment, conduct physical
inspections, and maintain records in compliance with regulatory
standards. Operate x-ray machines and other screening equipment to
check packages and other items for prohibited contents. Perform
thorough physical inspections of packages when necessary. Maintain
a log of all checks and identify any suspicious activities or
items. Communicate clearly and promptly with management and law
enforcement when potential threats are identified. Follow all
applicable regulations as well as company policies regarding
package screening. Participate in regular training sessions to stay
updated on the latest security methods and technologies.
Proficiency in operating security screening equipment. Strong
observational skills to detect unusual or prohibited items.
Effective communication skills for reporting and documentation.
Ability to comply with all security guidelines and maintain
operational confidentiality. Capacity to work under pressure and
make quick decisions in response to security alerts. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Transportation Security Administration (TSA) screener certification
or similar preferred but not required. Security Clearance might be
required depending on the sector and region.
