The global Medical Devices Technology team is hiring anoutstanding senior data scientist to work on high-profile projects and deliverinnovative technology solutions to advance medical device product development,commercial execution and transform global health. We require both in-depth andhands-on knowledge of existing advanced analytics practices and approaches,including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning, as wellas creativity to discuss innovation opportunities with business partners andshape cutting edge applications and proposals across the Medical Devices businesses. The Senior Data Scientist will: + Directly participate inthe delivery of data-driven projects that have a direct impact on insightsgeneration, product design, and business results for Medical Devicesglobally + Independently hypothesize,design and execute projects or analyses with hands-on involvement + Routinely work withcomplex, high-dimensional data and integrates and analyzes data sets usinghigh performance computing and advanced algorithms as required + Lead projects as theanalytical lead and actively contribute to highly visible, complexprojects, programs or solutions that are critical to Medical Devices + Work closely withcolleagues to keep up-to-date with the latest approaches and advances indata science and evaluate vendor tools and external data sets as required + Manage relationships withpartners across the various functions of the enterprise + Mentor junior team members Qualifications + M.D. or Ph.D. degree inComputer Sciences, Computer Vision, Data Science, Statistics, MachineLearning & Artificial Intelligence, Medical Informatics, ComputationalBiology, or a related discipline is required. A minimum of 3 years ofcombined industrial/postdoctoral experience is required. + Familiarity with large orcomplex datasets and understanding of data analysis workflows is required. + Strong working knowledgeof data mining algorithms including supervised and unsupervised machinelearning techniques including random forest, clustering, neural networks& deep learning is required. + Proficiency with one or moreprogramming language such as Python, R, Java, Scala, or similar isrequired. + Familiarity with cloudcomputing is required. + Experience with NaturalLanguage Processing or text analytics methods is a plus. + Experience with advancedtechnologies such as Robotics, IoT, AR, VR is a plus. + Superb communication,interpersonal, verbal, and written skills are required.
