Job Description:

Job Purpose/Function: (the main contribution of the function to the total organization.) As a Driver, regular and relief, your main focus is to correctly pack and deliver meals to clients in a safe and timely manner. To report significant changes in client's physical, emotional, or social conditions. Relief Drivers must be available on a “as needed” or “on call” basis. Major Responsibilities: Always drive in a safe and courteous manner remembering that you are a representative of LifeBridge Community Services. Anticipate the proper Ice Packs for usage. Correctly pack, load and deliver meals in a safe and timely manner. Pick up meals at the preparation site. Pack meals according to the daily packing lists provided. Alert office staff of changes in clients' status Deliver meals to clients. Respect client confidentiality Keep accurate records of meal temperatures, gasoline purchases, vehicle inspections. Clean containers and vehicles daily Alert Team Leader to vehicle maintenance needs; take van to service garage for maintenance. Attending driver meetings. Distribute materials and notices to clients as assigned. Cooperate with representatives from the State and Area Agency. Adhere to Agency policies and procedures. Treat all LifeBridge staff with respect and honesty and develop cooperative teamwork. Perform other duties as appointed by the Team Leader, Operations Manager and Program Director. Education and Experience Required: Current, valid driver's license and safe driving record Clean criminal history Good physical health Ability to collaborate cooperatively with staff and volunteers of the program. Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs, moving the whole-body including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
