Your responsibilities as Staff Accountant will include preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, many aspects of internal reporting will be your responsibility. This position will also require you to participate in compliance, as well as communicate with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This role also involves the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Major responsibilities - Maintain intricate journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll - Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested - Conduct month end close, journal entries, without supervision - Offer succinct analysis on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a clear and concise manner - Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation - Take part in various department-wide initiatives - Assist in monthly financial close workbook preparation, including annual closing process - Manage the design and creation of balance sheet analysis and communicate reports to management - Manage capital lease and monthly payment schedules - Help with the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAPJob Requirements:- Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision - Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills - Great attention to detail - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics - Competent with spreadsheets and databases - Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines - Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment - Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases - Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills - Recent and relevant accounting experience - Proficient in ERP systems - Proficiency in wire transfer - Command of trial balance - Accounts Payable (AP) experience desiredAccountemps, a Robert Half Company, matches skilled accounting and finance professionals with remote or on-site jobs on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
