Job Description:

Saint Peter's Employee Health Department is looking for an adaptive, customer service focused Clerical Assistant to support the team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and receiving visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Screening a high volume of phone calls and directing them appropriately.
  • Providing information to inquiries concerning general department activities and operations in accordance with department procedures.
  • Maintaining department record-keeping and assisting with documentation.
  • Handling confidential data in accordance with department and hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish is strongly preferred
  • Prior medical office experience.
  • Superior interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with a diverse group of internal callers, patients and visitors
