Our team of award-winning nurses is growing and we are looking for talented, compassionate APNs to join our team: Summary: In accordance with professional APN standards and physician collaboration, coordinates care of the ICU patient, develops treatment plans, provides treatment as indicated, and monitors clinical activities. Uses evidence based guidelines for care. Utilizes effective communication methods to ensure interdisciplinary collaboration and patient support/advocacy. Maintains a culturally sensitive and customer focused manner to promote patient satisfaction. The APN will: Assesses and provides care for the patients under the direction of the collaborating physician. Documents care provided in the medical record. Provides educational activities which promote quality patient care. Specifications: Per Diem Days Requirements: 1. Board certified Acute Critical Care Nurse Practitioner. 2. Licensed as a Registered Nurse and is an APN-C in the state of New Jersey. 3. ACLS certified, as approved by the American Heart Association. 4. Minimum of three (3) years Adult Critical Care experience involving direct patient care. 5. Demonstrates knowledge and skill in the following: a. The ability to work independently in emergency situations b. Critical thinking c. Quality improvement d. Management of critically ill adult patient e. Collaboration with all critical care team members f. Technology used in the ICU g. Performing procedures, e.g. central line insertion 6.
