Job Description Machine Operator(Multiple shifts available) Location: New Brunswick Hourly Pay Rate: $18 General Information Job Title: Machine Operator Location: Employee Type: Full-Time Non-Exempt Job Category: Production Industry: Manufacturing Minimum Experience: 2 Years Manage Others: No ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned Must know all the emergency stop points that exist on the line. Must know where the exact locations of all safety guards are located Tends machine and checks dough gauges at different intervals in conformance to specifications. Observe line to ensure that product is moving uniformity though various stages of processing according to production schedule. Adjust dough gauges and controls to ensure the even distribution of spices or other related ingredients such as flour, cinnamon, or onions. As the product moves along the line. Observes and inspects dough product for any inconsistencies in shape, or dimensions according to product specs. Turns dough gauges and controls to adjust the velocity of the machine to direct the flow of dough into the appropriate attachments for processing. Transport the dough table or dough bin to a designated area. Turns the controls to direct the flow of ingredients such as flour and inspects periodically for conformance to quality standards. Regulates the velocity of the machine according to availability of personnel working on the line.(Only with approval from supervisor) Properly disposes of all rejected products. Inspects product as it moves along through the finger belt conveyor in preparation of placement of the trays. Weigh and record the product at 15-minute intervals. Keep in unison with other co-workers. Moves or adjusts controls to turn conveyors on and/or off. Inspects product for desired consistency, arrangement or dimensions. Observes operation of machine to detect jams or malfunctions. Informs supervision of any problems that might arise. Changes and/or adjusts attachments according to job specifications.
