Who We Are:The Fund for the Public Interest is seeking hard-working individuals with good communication skills and a passion for social change to fill citizen outreach and field manager positions across the country this summer. We currently have paid canvasser and field manager positions open in select cities across the country.In New Brunswick we're working with Environment New Jersey on a campaign to reduce plastic pollution. Our country is still producing more plastics than ever before, and we're seeing more plastic pollution in our communities and at the Jersey Shore, where it threatens sea turtles. So, Environment New Jersey is urging our state leaders to hold companies responsible to use less single-use plastics and to pay to recycle the plastics they do produce.Pay:Staff generally earn an average of between $16-21 per hour. You are paid a base hourly rate of $16 per hour for meeting the minimum performance standard, plus may earn an additional $1-7 per hour or more for exceeding the minimum performance standard. Staff never earn less than minimum wage for the hours that they work. So, you could earn an average of between $16 and $21 per hour depending on performance.
