Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Co-op student to support the
Product Development Communications team with internal and employee
communications projects and initiatives for a 6-month
The successful candidate will gain exposure to various areas such
as strategy development and execution, content development, usage
and optimization of various employee communications channels,
editorial calendar management, executive communications support,
and typical day-to-day communications initiatives. The student will
have the opportunity to learn how to be an exceptional
communications partner to our internal scientific community, make
strategic decisions, and execute in a complex organization.
The Co-op position is located in New Brunswick, NJ with start dates
in January and July 2023. The role is hybrid, requiring 50/50
in-office and remote attendance.
Product Development Communications plays in integral role in
fostering connection and collaboration among the 1400+ employees
and contractors located in the U.S. and around the world.
We design and implement communications strategies in alignment with
leadership to advance the business strategy.

Write newsletter articles
Organize quarterly department town hall and prepare deck
Update SharePoint site content
Write senior-level organizational announcements
Visually enhance PowerPoint decks for internal use
Ensure compliance with BMS brand guidelines
Measure and report communications tactic effectiveness
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Current undergraduate student in Communications, Journalism, Public
Relations, or related degree programs with relevant coursework in
strategic communication planning, presentation skills, writing, and
Minimum GPA 3.0
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint,
Outlook, Word, and Excel; Teams, SharePoint, SurveyMonkey, and
Yammer a plus
Excellent writing and editing skills; strong grasp of the English
Organized and efficient
Ability to work both independently and in a team to accomplish
