Job Description:

Labcorp is seeking a Certifying Scientist to join its team in Raritan NJ. This position will be working in the Forensic Toxicology department which performs urine drug of abuse monitoring testing. The Certifying Scientist will be responsible for reviewing and verifying all data to ensure its accuracy before the final results get reported.
*Work Schedule:** Tuesday - Saturday: 04:00 pm - 12:30 am*

Perform certification review of all initial and confirmation data
* Verification of all chain of custody documents, quality controls, and calibrations
* Provide technical, interpretive, and/or regulatory consultation and assistance to clients
* Understand and follow quality procedures and protocols for security and confidentiality
* Identify and resolve quality control issues in a timely manner
* Assist in preparation of litigation packages and affidavits when necessary
* Consult with laboratory technical staff regarding routine testing issues and practices
* Prepare and participate in inspections and audits when required
* Adhere to all regulatory and standard operating procedure requirements
* Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
*Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements
* Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience is required OR an MLS degree
* Previous laboratory experience is required; Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plus
* Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
