We are hiring for a Container Closure Integrity Scientist position with a leading pharma client at Rahway, NJ. The pay rate is $39/hr. Along with the hourly rate you are eligible for the following benefits package: earned paid sick days, matching 401k plan, and discounted health insurance.

Position: Scientist - Container Closure Integrity Testing (CCI)
Location: Rahway, NJ 07065
Schedule: 100% Lab-Based Role

Our leading pharmaceutical client is seeking a Scientist (CCI Testing) to join the Device Product & Process Development (DPPD) team. This role supports analytical method development, validation, and execution for container closure integrity (CCI) of combination products including biologics, small molecules, and vaccines.

Qualifications:

B.S./M.S. in Mechanical, Biomedical, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
0-1 year of relevant experience (pharma, biotech, or medical device industry)

Required Skills:

Hands-on CCI or analytical testing (e.g., dye ingress, vacuum decay, laser headspace)
Ability to troubleshoot assays and author technical documents
Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills:

Experience with CCI testing for injectables (vials, syringes, auto-injectors)
Familiarity with GMP/GLP practices, Instron/tensile testing, XRCT, or rheology
Knowledge of USP , GXP, and container/device validation

Responsibilities:

Develop and validate CCI methods for delivery systems and secondary packaging
Author and review protocols and technical documentation
Collaborate across R&D, QC, and manufacturing for method transfer and support
