Description: SOBA is currently hiring for Part-Time Overnight Recovery Technicians at our Detox & Residential Facility and Sober Living Facility. At Soba New Jersey our Recovery Technicians are a valued member of the team in managing a variety of daily tasks to ensure clients are getting their daily needs met. Recovery Technicians will directly supervise and stabilize substance abuse clients in the detox unit. All SOBA staff's primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of the clients at all times. *Weekend Availability is a must.$20/hr. Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Breathalyze clients at the Residential Program in the morning and evening.
• Enter information for morning and evening check-in in the BAC log book
• Monitor scheduled and random urine screens
• Check common areas in rooms for cleanliness
• Check bedrooms for cleanliness
• Maintain Tech Office and kitchen area, e.g. take out garbage, clean dishes, organize and maintain the common rooms.
• Enter information at the end of each shift in the shift report log on the computer
• Ensure that clients are up in time for morning check-in
• Monitor clients and the evening curfew, report unexcused tardiness in the BAC log as well as the shift report log
• Provide transportation in the CR van as needed
• Organize and supervise activities for clients on Fridays and Saturdays when on duty; plan ahead of time, keep track of projected expenses, and keep all receipts for money spent
• Screen clients' belongings when they move in
• Fill out intake paperwork with clients when they enter the Residential Facility
• Monitor what is needed for the residential office and client spaces for inventory
• Report problems and questions to management
• Assist with any other directives from management and administration
• Participate in staff meetings when appropriate Requirements: Qualifications:
  • Must have at least two (2) years sober if in recovery
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must have experience working in substance abuse industry.
