in the fight to save lives. Purpose of Position: We are seeking a
Sales Representative based in New Jersey and Delaware area of the
United States to represent Beckman Coulter Life Science Particle
Counting and Characterization business. The primary role of this
position is to actively promote the company's products and services
to a defined customer base within an assigned geographic territory.
The Sales Representative will implement a sales plan crafted to
achieve established sales and financial goals; maintain an
up-to-date CRM; call on prospective and current company customers;
involves technical personnel to resolve customer's issues and
problems as needed; may participate in the establishment of sales
targets and design of the territory's sales plan; and controls
sales expenses. Responsible for strategic sales targeting including
all Industrial, Academic, Pharmaceutical, Government,
Pharmaceutical, and Biotech accounts. Essential Functions: Annually
submit and implement a detailed sales plan identifying sales
objectives, sales opportunities, major customers, ideas to grow
market share, etc. Perform all sales activity within an assigned
geographic territory. Participate in sales activities including
customer site visits, telephone contacts, trade seminars and shows,
product demonstrations, customer seminars and channel management.
Coordinate distributor training activities to achieve corporate
objectives. Maintain sales funnel CRM Submit monthly and quarterly
forecast Assist in maintaining a mail list for customers in the
assigned territory. Collects and reports information on all driven
activity within the assigned territory. Network across Beckman and
Danaher within various functions Other Non-Essential Functions:
Provide key field input in corporate programs including market
research, Kaizen events and equipment beta testing. Supervise and
report upon market trends, regulatory drivers and driven threats
Other duties as assigned. Environment: The work environment for
this position is both remote/home office and field sales activity.
Extensive driving throughout the territory is expected, as well as
air travel The field sales activity will take this individual into
customers' locations and physical activity (e.g.
lifting/carrying/moving of materials and equipment 50-70 lbs.)
occurs. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in field with 2+ years
experience OR Master's degree in field with 1+ years experience
Consistent record of success in a Life Sciences, chemical or
environmental scientific sales area Proven understanding of sales
process (prospecting, qualifying, closing, and growing existing
customers) Strong communication and presentation skills Preferred:
Laboratory experience is desired Excellent Benefits and incentive
